The Falmouth Heritage Museum and Barn are open to the public at 60 Woods Road in Falmouth, Maine on most Tuesdays from June until October, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Clilck here for directions.
Our volunteers will be standing by to show you artifacts in our collections, answer your questions about the history of our town and surrounding communities, and to help you discover the story of your Falmouth ancestors or Falmouth home. We are ready to answer questions about modern and colonial Falmouth.
Updated 10/29/23. In most years, we close the Museum by mid-October. The cost of heating our 19th century farmhouse is more than our budget will bear. This year we enjoyed a mild autumn which allowed us to keep the Museum open until October 24th. Alas, the unseasonably warm weather ended on October 28th.
The Museum is now closed for the season.
Until we reopen the Museum next spring, our volunteers will be busy online responding to request from our community. If there is something in our collections you would like to see, we can make that happen.
If you are traveling some distance, we suggest contacting us in advance to confirm that the museum will be open.
If you are interested in a specific artifact, topic, or research subject, please let us know in advance and we'll make sure someone is on hand who is knowledgeable about your area of interest.
We look forward to seeing you!
