About FHS - Board of Directors
Betsy Jo WhitcombDirector Betsy has served on the board since 2012 including stints as secretary and president. She is a retired nurse and certified medical assistant having worked in medical offices for 30 years. She also has worked part-time for the Town of Falmouth as an election clerk and as deputy registrar and registrar of voters since 1972. She enjoys genealogy and, having lived in Falmouth for 51 years, is very knowledgeable about the history of the area and its people. |

Rich MeserveVice PresidentRich has been vice president since 2017 and has served on the board since 2015. He is a teacher at Westbrook High School. In addition to having taught in a wide variety of academic settings for many years, he has been a school administrator and served in the Maine Department of Education. He holds undergrad and graduate degrees in history and is excited to be a part of the Society. He has lived on and off in Falmouth since 1970. Rich encourages younger Falmouth residents to become members of the Society and learn more about the town where they live. |

Ron ScorsoneDirectorRon has served on the board since 2016 after retiring from IBM where he was a managing consultant driving strategic change for global clients in the public and private sectors. He was also a project manager at IBM's renowned Watson Research Center. Ron enjoys the climate, culture and landscape in Falmouth. He loves exploring the area on foot on bicycle as well as learning about the history of the town. His responsibilities on the board include overseeing operation of the museum and leading efforts to digitize our catalog to make our collections more accessible by the community. |

Sally FarnethDirector
Sally recently moved to Maine to be close to family. She has a B.A. and and M.A. in education. Sally is a retired elementary schoolteacher and co-author of Quaker educational materials. She loves history and genealogy. Her responsibilities on the board include the development of educational materials for school-aged children. |

Sue FarnhamSecretarySue has been secretary since 2017 and has served on the board since 2015. She has both a B.S. and a B.A. (History) from UMaine. Sue recently retired after 35 years as a dietitian and diabetes educator in clinical and outpatient settings. She has been active in several other nonprofits and served on the board of one. She is also an avid genealogist and gardener. |
